Who We Are
Nancy Grosso - Co-Owner
I’ve wanted to work with animals for as long as I can remember. It started with a curiosity about my family cats and dogs, wanting to understand their behavior and biology. In time I became obsessed with Jane Goodall and learning about wildlife conservation. As a result, I got my degree in wildlife sciences at Oregon State University.
When Orion and I met in 2005 we both realized we were born entrepreneurs. We’ve had flourishing house cleaning and real estate businesses, both of which weren’t personally fulfilling. And after bad experiences with people who pet sat for us, we decided to give pet sitting a go. It was a natural fit for two people who adore animals and are highly sensitive empaths.
I have experience with animals in various setting including zoos, wildlife rehabs and animal shelters. I love learning about different animals and various cat and dog breeds. When I’m hanging out with your pets, I’m not only caring for them but trying to get to know their distinct personality so that I can care for them in the best way possible. Orion swears that I can speak to animals!
In my spare time you can find me obsessing about food-I love to cook! I also enjoy being in nature, travelling and planning trips, practicing yoga, reading and am obsessed with trashy reality shows like The Traitors, specifically the UK version.
Orion Chandler Co-Owner
I grew up in a home with parents in the 80’s who took in every stray cat and dog in our neighborhood. My earliest pictures are me cuddled up to either my mom or a cat. Because of this I’ve developed a deep love of animals and an ability to intuit what they need. Nancy likes to joke that I’m the cat whisperer because more than one random cat has started following me while walking in a neighborhood!
I’ve had many careers in my 40+ years including manager of retail stores, realtor, HVAC tech, wine make and owner of a house cleaning business, but none has been as rewarding as being a pet sitter. Because I adore animals, I strive to make each of our client’s pets have the calmest and happiest experience during my time with them. I love getting to know all your pets’ personalities and quirks!
In my spare time you can find me meditating, spending time in nature and learning.
Em - Pet Sitter
Say Hello to our daughter Em, who started working for us in 2026. Em attends West Linn Highschool and wants to get a degree in Advertising from the University of Oregon.
Em helps us with animals that don’t have “special needs”, pets that are a bit easier and only require feeding and hang out time. She has a calm and confident demeanor that is a perfect fit for pet sitting.
In her spare time, she can be found reading, listening music to and curating music playlists, going to concerts, journaling and of course hanging out with friends.
Why Use Us?
When you choose Fuzzy Friends to care for your animal friends you can rest easy knowing that we are experienced, Pet CPR and Pet Sitter certified, have experience administering medication, are members of Pet Sitter’s International and will be the only three people entering your home. We also continue to expand our knowledge on animal behavior, disease and care taking through classes through Pet Sitter’s International.
We started our pet sitting business after MULTIPLE bad pet sitting experiences, one where a pet sitter just did not show up- leaving our dogs pooping on the floor and upset and another where a pet sitter opened a window and our cat got out. (Luckily he came home but those hours searching were devastating!)
We strive to provide professional an caring pet sitting. We hold ourselves to an extremely high standard. We also aim to provide the most pleasant experience for your animal friends! And finally, we want to give you a stress free vacation, knowing your pets are in the best of care.
